Pilates Mat Classes

Pilates Mat classes are a wonderful way to strengthen the core, improve posture and mobility, and tone all the muscles of the body. Using the Stott Pilates technique, these fun and dynamic classes are great for any body. Using small props, we can modify the movements for any age or fitness level.

Barre Classes

Barre class uses the power of music to create a safe and fun workout that will increase strength, flexibility, stamina, endurance, and dynamic stability. It truly is a program geared for everyone and no dance experience is required!  We focus on postural strength and alignment, taking elements from Pilates, Yoga, strength training and dance. Incorporating weights, balls, bands and tubing to increase the resistance training, it is the most fun you will have while feeling the ‘burn’.

Fascia Classes

Fascia is strong connective tissue which performs a number of functions including enveloping and isolating the muscles of the body, providing structural support and protection. Through injuries, surgery which create scar tissue, or inactivity, or poor posture, this fascial network can get stuck and rigid. In mobility classes/workshops, we work to release and rehydrate these tissues to help optimize your body’s natural function. class is a self-care treatment class, using a variety of different modalities from The Roll Model Method, to Zenga, to self-myofascial stretching and release. Through assessing and then reassessing, it will help to increase your body awareness, help relieve tension, aches and pain, and increase your overall wellbeing.

Yin Yoga

Yin yoga is a slower-paced, more meditative version of the popular physical and spiritual discipline of yoga where the asanas (poses) are more passive holds, with little muscular engagement. In Yin yoga, the poses are held for a long period of time (typically three to five minutes or longer) to target the connective tissues rather than focusing on the muscles. Yin yoga stretches and targets both the deep connective tissues between the muscles, and the fascia throughout the body. The aim is to increase circulation in the joints, and improve flexibility. As one ages, flexibility in the joints decreases, and Yin yoga is a wonderful and relaxing way to maintain that flexibility.
