Studio 1 Pilates is a private, boutique-style Pilates studio, located on the Westshore of Victoria, B.C. We offer a personal approach to your fitness and wellbeing, no matter if you're a competitive athlete, or just starting your fitness journey. What we offer...
We are a fully certified and fully equipped boutique-style Pilates studio offering private or semi-private instruction on all of the Pilates apparatus and mat work. We also have a wide variety of online classes available live on Zoom as well as a growing library of On Demand online classes. In person group mat classes are offered offsite. There really is something for everyone at every age, fitness level and lifestyle.
One on one private Pilates instruction to meet your individual needs. Ideal for those who have specific training or health needs to be addressed.
Ideal if you like to have a friend, partner or family member workout with you. Still very personalized instruction for those not interested in group classes.

From Pilates Mat classes, to Stretching and Barre, minimal space and equipment required to make it easy for you to join us remotely. Please contact us if you are interested in joining any online classes, once we have received your payment, you will be sent a link to join the class.

I am originally from Ottawa, Canada and first fell in love with movement when I started ballet at the age of 4! I studied dance professionally throughout Canada and the US, and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance, from the University of Missouri - Kansas City.
I came upon Pilates while dancing in London, England as way of conditioning for my dance training. When I returned to Ottawa, I began my teacher training in the Stott Pilates method. After going deeper into the understanding of the work and all of the apparatus, I fell more in love with Pilates.
I have taught in a wide variety of settings, from dance studios, to corporate classes, community centres to cruise ships! But what I love most is to be able to work one on one with clients in my studio where I can design a class and program for what each individual needs to feel better in their own body. I get excited to share my passion for Pilates and am thrilled when clients develop a deeper level of body awareness and core strength, and improve their overall health and lifestyle.
As so many of us adapted during the years of the pandemic, my big pivot was to move much of my work online. It is another skill in itself and I have invested in training and equipment, to be able to offer high quality training online whether its private sessions, group classes on Zoom, or my On Demand library that I'm quite proud of. It can be challenging to work over a screen, but it has also allowed me to work from anywhere and with anyone!
My biggest shift post pandemic was to fulfill my dream of moving to beautiful British Columbia. I moved my studio to Victoria, BC where my golden retriever Bailey and I are embracing our new home and all the adventures on this amazing journey.

I was so thrilled to be part of an amazing team of experts that Lianne Laing handpicked for a Wellness Cruise like no other. In October of 2019, we set sail for a week-long cruise along the Danube River, starting in Budapest and finishing in Vilshofen.
I had the wonderful experience of teaching Pilates and Fascia/Stretch classes in such beautiful settings, exploring 5 countries I had never been to, learning from the other amazing experts, and growing friendships with not only our team of experts but with fellow passengers. From all the workouts to workshops on beauty, nutrition, relationships, meditation, and essential oils, there was never a dull moment and an experience I will cherish for a lifetime.
